Man Bahadur (M.B.) Shrestha had a dream 2014 to plant coffee on his family’s farm in the mountains of Eastern Nepal, near the highest mountains in the world.  The most famous mountain is Mount Everest.

MB’s father and forefathers planted and harvested by hand rice and millet, and they only used animal fertilizer on their crops because chemical fertilizers were too expensive.

Life is hard in the villages of Nepal and many men have left the places where they grew up.   So these men will leave their homes and families to work overseas where they can make an money to support their families. Farmers in Nepal are able to grow enough to food to feed their families, but not much else.  There are five Shrestha brothers.  MB is the only brother who has returned to his ancestral land to grow coffee.
